Day 914: Tuesday Stuff

Hey boo!

I feel awesome. My body is saying “hey brah, thanks for treating me right again.” Yah, I had gained .6 pounds this week, but at one point I was all the way up to 236. I’m finally back down to 231.6. I am so ready to get out of the 230’s for good. It’s time. Like I said on my Facebook page today, the name of the game this week is “consistency.” I’m going to stay within my points, drink my water and then get all SAWStastic in the gym this week! Even if I don’t see it on the scale next Tuesday, I know I’m going to feel better. Totally worth it.

Here is the breakdown of the day points wise. As you can see I did really well!

B: 3
S: 2
L: 4
S: 4
D: 7
S: 4
S: 5
Activity: 6

I also went on my first run since the half. If I hadn’t done a rough leg workout yesterday, it would have been a lot better. Either way, it felt great to be back in the running game. I’ll leave you with this parting shot. It’s especially for all of you who are still shoveling snow. HA! See ya tomorrow.

Day 913: The Biggest Loser and Other Awesome Things

DAAAAANNNNNNNGGGGGG!!!!!!!!

WHAT AN EPIC WAY TO CONCLUDE THE 14TH SEASON OF THE BIGGEST LOSER!!!!!

So like I had predicted, Danni won The Biggest Loser by a pound! (And you think that pound loss doesn’t make a difference…)

No matter the outcome, everyone looked incredible! There are some finales where you can tell the contestants had struggled at home, but that didn’t seem to be the case this season. They were all positive and a lot of them had inspired their families to lose weight as well which is even more exciting! It was really cool that Joe and his twin brother Henry were both losing weight at the same time while Joe was on the ranch. They still looked like mirror images of each other even when Joe went back home earlier in the season. I can’t wait for next season!

Anyway, shifting gears…

Today was awesome with food! I got to 31.5 points and gained 10 activity points when I wrecked shop at the gym! I feel awesome. I’m ready to keep on track. I know the scale might not be my friend tomorrow, but that’s okay. I did eat a lot this week between a birthday party and an epic brunch, but it’s how life goes sometimes and you just have to move on. Either way, great things are happening and I can’t wait to see what happens next! See ya tomorrow.

Gotta love Bob...

Day 912: Just a Quick Update

Just thought I would drop by and say hello…on my own blog.

I just pre-ordered the new Justin Timberlake album on iTunes. Don’t hate.

Fact: my nick name in college was in fact “Sexyback.” True story.

As far as 30 in 90 is concerned, things are going really well! I’m trying to keep within my points and trying to get active every day. I had a pretty monstrous lunch, so I’m just reeling from that at this point. Might do a little time on the ol’ bike tonight to try to even things out a little bit. Other than that, we have been making delicious stuff via Skinny Taste like low-fat, full-taste cupcakes and tonight we are having Skinny Taste Corned Beef and Cabbage soup! (Check my Instagram account for a photo later tonight!)

Well, that about does it for now! Pretty stoked for The Biggest Loser finale tomorrow night! While I really hope Joe O. wins, I have a feeling that while he might win the popular vote over Jackson (demographically, I think Joe has a better shot. He’s from a more populated state and he was on the football team of one of the most-recognized programs in the nation *cough* FSU *cough* while Jackson is from the sparsely-populated state of Utah) I still think Danni has a pretty fantastic shot. She already looked the same as Hannah and Olivia at the finale of season 11! (Oh yeah, I met Hannah Curlee one time and it was epic. Here’s the post about it!)
Who do you think has the best shot?

See ya tomorrow.

Oh yeah, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Oh yeah, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Day 909: 30in90 Explained

Sorry if I cut off anyone midfunk…

So if you are my friend on Facebook or on Twitter OR if you Like my FFK page on Facebook (only four friends away from 800! Like it now! Please?) you saw that I hinted at a new thing going on on the blog called 30in90. What does that mean you ask? Well it’s pretty simple.

30in90You see, 90 days from Friday, I will be reaching the 1,000th day of the start of my weight loss journey! Pretty crazy huh? It has had its ups and downs, but it has been a pretty epic journey so far. As most of you know, I have kind of been on a plateau for a while now. The 230’s have been my home base and 227 is still my weight loss threshold. I just can’t seem to break it. So when Megan brought up the 1,000 days thing, we started to plan our attack on our weight. Thus, 30in90 was born.

Tomorrow morning, we will weigh in. Our objective is to lose 30 pounds in 90 days. Day 1,000 is June 15th. It seems far away now, but it’s closer than we think. By then, I’m planning (not hoping) to be weighing in the 200’s, knocking at the door of Onderland. What’s even more of an encentive is that our 5-year anniversary is June 22nd. We really wanted to get new wedding photos done to show just how far we’ve come (and no, I will not be wearing my size 60 wedding suit…yes, I wore a size 60 suit jacket at one point. That’s five feet around. It still bothers me when I write that out loud.)

So how are we going to do this you ask? Simple: I’m going back in to crazy, dedicated, super weight loss mode. I was just thinking the other day about how my new friends/coworkers didn’t really know me when I would only eat the stuff I knew the calories of and stuff like that. This is a goal I am striving for. I’m going to work as hard as I can to get to that point. It might mean two-a-day workouts sometimes and not eating if I go out with friends, but it will totally be worth it. I’m doing this for me and my health, which also means I’m not going to starve myself, but rather taking the healthy path no matter how much it might suck sometimes. I can’t wait. Challenge accepted. So what do you think? Are we crazy? Or do you think we can do it? See ya tomorrow.

Pie Day

Day 906!

Why hello my dear readers!

The Biggest Loser is such a powerful show. It’s been so amazing to not only watch the contestants change their lives, but to also see the kids and their amazing progress as well. I hope they are bringing more attention to childhood obesity and the issues of bullying as well. This is something that we can’t ignore any longer. It’s time for our nation to make a change. Every child deserves a healthy life.

Shifting gears…

I have been keep close tabs on my eating and I have been lifting like a beast! I have no clue what came over me, but I just decided that I wasn’t going to care about how I looked, how I wasn’t lifting as much as the meathead next to me, or that wouldn’t see results immediately. Those were the things that have been holding me back because frankly, that part of the gym absolutely terrifies me. Ever since middle school, I have been the “weakling” when it comes to lifting. I’ve never had upper body strength and instead of doing something about it, I would do something else like cardio. It has always bothered me. So now I’m making progress already! I know that lifting will help my running and open the doors to other activities like surfing and other things that requires upper-body strength. Time to become a Fotographing Fit Kid.

Okay so moving to food today. In summation, I turned what could have been a bad food day in to a good food day! Megan and I went for breakfast at our favorite breakfast joint, Jim and Milt’s, since I took the day off from work since she’s on Spring Break. It’s not the healthiest breakfast place, but it’s filling. Then, we went to Sam’s Club to redeem the membership we bought from Living Social last week. I had a slice of their famous delicious pizza. When we were there, we stocked up on some incredibly awesome fruits and veggies!

When we got home, I realized that I was pretty high with my points. Sometimes when I thought I was in too deep, I would just decide not count my points. I didn’t do that today. I counted it out and decided to make a healthier dinner then I had planned! We roasted some brussels sprouts and put them on a baked potato with a little cheese and light sour cream. I also has some fat free cool whip and a handful of blackberries. Tonight, I feel full and with no regrets. I’m just so happy with where I am with my weight loss journey. Much more than I have in a long time. It feels great.

Here’s the breakdown with the photos:
Breakfast: 10 points
Lunch: 10 points (just for a slice of pizza)
Snack: 1 point
Dinner: 8 points

Now about the scale…
I am going to be happy with whatever it says. I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing and the rest will follow. See ya tomorrow.

Day 902: Thursday Yo!

You guys, I’m seriously addicted to Freaks and Geeks. WHY IS IT ONLY ONE SEASON????

So I really don’t know why I haven’t been posting. It’s been kind of crazy around here, but things are starting to slow down. One thing I have been doing is lifting like a boss! It feels good to work out! I think it’s going to really help with my running too. I can’t wait to run another race (I’m kind of addicted to that too.)

As far as food today, I did really well! I brought my food to work, I portioned out everything and I made sure I had enough points for dinner with The Wolf and Phil (no, that’s not a 70’s folk band name.)

Here is the breakdown of the day, followed by photos of my ridiculous life.
Breakfast: 5 points
Lunch: 5 points
Snacks: 5 points
Dinner: About 24 points
Exercise Points: 10 activity points
1 Weekly Point used

I LOVE BEING ON TRACK!!!!

Let the photos commence!
