109: The Day After the Doozie

So… sorry I didn’t have a post last night, I’ll explain a sec but let’s get to it. Since on Thursday I made some bad food decisions so Friday I decided to make up for it and I think I did pretty well. I’m still trying to get back in to the swing of things after vacation which is always a little hard but I think Friday set me in the right direction.

Breakfast: I just had a a banana and tried my hand at making a smoothie. I just put strawberry, banana, and orange juice. Oh yeah… and cinnamon? I was watching the Today and they said that putting cinnamon in food serves as an antioxidant. I put 1/2 a tsp of it before I blended and I actually couldn’t taste it. Anyways breakfast was 4 points.

Exercise: Matt and I played racquetball and it was awesome. It felt good to get a good sweat out. Then we worked out for a little bit but the gym was still pretty packed. (Plus they were playing Jonas Brothers so the music was very uninspiring.) I worked out 13 points worth.

Lunch: Lunch, which was like at 3:30, was really good. I baked 3 chicken tenderloins and steamed some broccoli. This is possibly the densest meal you can eat for the points. This plate is only 4 points!!!! Since the broccoli is free. I was really full after. The chicken took a while but it was worth it.

Dinner: We were invited over to the Schuberts house for dinner and to get to know each other better. We know the Schuberts from church and Sharon has had her own success with her weight loss journey. She has lost more than 50 pounds too! We had spaghetti and this awesome salad with dried berries, pecans, tomatoes and croutons. I put this home made sesame dressing on it. I had seconds on both since I was still not even out of my exercise points for the day. For dessert we had some angel food cake with heated up blueberries and some cool whip. It was really good.

So we were both really exhausted from the week and we got home around 10:30. I went straight in to the bedroom to watch TV, thinking that I would write my post in a bit. Then Antiques Road Show came on and I was glued in (I’m a loser.) Then before I knew it, I woke up and it was 6:00 am. I woke back up a little later and I realized I forgot to write it. So now I’m doing it. Overall Friday was a good day. Today I’m playing basketball with some guys from church. Should be a blast. See you… later.

Day 107!

Day 2 of my second semester is in the bag. It wasn’t too bad other than it was cold and rainy but it almost felt like winter so I don’t mind. Anyways…

Breakfast: Since I have a class from 11-12:15 and I wanted to work out after, I had to make something that was going to stick with me so I made an awesome wafflewich with pb and banana. It really held me over for most of the day actually. I mean, it was 9 points so something that high in points needs to stick with you.

Lunch: I put 6 points of cereal in a baggie and munched on that after class and when I was running around doing errands. I had some left over so I ate the rest with milk when I got home. I highly recommend doing that on days when you are in a pinch for time. (Plus, it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than buying those individual bowls of cereal!)

Exercise: Again, since it was pouring I was ready to get indoors to work out (weird huh?) Anyways, I got on to the treadmill and hit the ground running like a boss! I didn’t really warm up, I just got on there and went fast. It was the first time where I felt more liberated from my weight. I didn’t feel handicapped from where I was in September. I really felt like a different person on there today, it was pretty cool. I burned 12 exercise points. Pretty tight yo.

Dinner: It was my turn to make dinner so I made Chicken Spaghetti with Spinach and Cheese Marinara. We just got a cheap bottle of Classico Spinach and Cheese and it was actually really good. We were a little apprehensive because H-E-B (our favorite supermarket from Texas) had their own version and it’s amazing but this competed with it. Anyways, I baked six boneless skinless chicken tenderloins and then cut them up in to the sauce (oh yeah, I sauteed a chopped onion in to the sauce too.) And I just put it over angel hair. I think it turned out pretty well. For the whole plate was 13 points so a really great dinner!

Dessert: After church, I had a bowl measuring cup of Edy’s ice cream/yogurt blend while watching Modern Family. And now Top Chef is on… and I’m getting hungry. 4 points.

So today I got to 32 points and with the exercise points I’m below that but I feel good (plus it’s way too late to eat anything anyways.) See ya tomorrow.

Day 106: The Storm Has Begun

Well today was the first day back and it wasn’t too bad! I have classes straight from 2-6 on Tuesdays so that’s going to suck but it’s worth it not to have any classes on Fridays (holla.) I waited at a bus stop for 30 minutes today and that was annoying but other than that it’s been a pretty good day. Tomorrow I just have the one and it should be interesting as well. I really stoked because I’m going to hit up the gym for the first time in 2011 tomorrow! I’m worried it’s going to be packed, but that’s how it works the first few weeks on January. Sad but true (if only there was an inspirational blog they could read to get them motivated…) Anyways, enough chit chat. Let’s talk food.

Breakfast: Just a bowl of Kashi Berry Crisp. I think I realized why I love it so much: it tastes like Crunch Berries but it actually has berries in it! (Instead of discolored milk.) 4 points

Lunch: There was one slice of pizza left so I ate it. I knew I should have eaten something better and I really realized it when I felt sick around 4:00. I guess a bad dinner the night before and a bad lunch is not a good combo. Anyways, it was only 4 points which is even more of a reason to have eaten more during the day. I’m not freaking out though, I’m still trying to get my groove back (and no, my name is not Stella.)

Dinner: I didn’t get home until around 6:40 and my awesome wife had made boneless skinless chicken tenderloins with asparagus and mashed potatoes with sour cream. It was fantastic, a real stick to your ribs dinner. That whole plate was only 8.5 points. This semester, we are going to switch off dinners so I get to try my hand at some new recipes! If you have a good one let me know!

Snacks: I had another bowl of cereal (4 points) and Megan made some 3 point mixed berry smoothies which were also awesome.

So today I’m at 23.5 points which is incredibly low. I didn’t intentionally mean to do that but I’m not starving. I might make some popcorn because we are finally about to watch Inception. I know I know I’m super lame. Sue me. One more thing, what did you think of tonight’s Biggest Loser? I think this season is going to blow mediocre Season 10 out of the water. It should be a good one. See ya tomorrow.

Day 102: 2010 The Year of the Catalyst

Well 2010, you felt like you flew by but looking back it was a packed year. 2009 left a horrible taste in my mouth so I was excited to see what was next in my life. If I were to put a title to 2010, it would be “The Year of the Catalyst.” This is the year I started to get my life back. What most of you don’t know is that I really did try to live healthier and eat better, but I had so many personal obstacles in my way. I just get going through spurts of eating well and then just eating crap (figuratively of course) for long periods of time. I would have a pretty good running regiment going and then I would just quit. I also didn’t have the same support system. I always thought that telling people you were trying to lose weight always set yourself up for failure because it was just more people to let down and the more guilt you would feel if they saw you eating or being lazy. The fact is that telling people you are going to be better doesn’t produce guilt, rather it builds a support system around you. Another thing was that I wasn’t trying to lose it for any reason. I was just doing it. When we moved to Tallahassee, I really took a good look at myself, along with pictures of me, and I said “I have lost control of my life and I need to do something about this. I’m pushing 400 pounds and I have two choices: eat all the unhealthy crap you want and die young, or make the effort now so I can live the life that God wants you to live.” So on September 14th 2010, I took my life back and I haven’t looked back ever since.

This year was full of change not just because of this, but because of many other things. At the beginning of this year, we had no clue where we were going to end up. Megan graduated in December of ’09 and we were on the hunt for graduate schools. It was about four months of a lot of uncertainty and living on faith. We had toured the University of Colorado in October of ’09 which was awesome, and then we made the trip to Tallahassee to visit The Florida State University in February. As you may recall, FSU was my dream school growing up, but I really didn’t have the grades or the GRE score to get in but I visited the department anyways. Megan fell in love with her department and I fell in love with mine as well as the city. I then made a checklist to compare CU and FSU which involved such things as Big 12 vs ACC, Mountains vs. Beaches, Cold Winters vs. Humidity, etc.  more importantly we prayed a lot about it. We finally decided on Tallahassee so then I started looking for a job with no luck. As the saying goes, the rest is history. We moved here on July 15th, I got in to the department as a non-degree student, worked my butt off and 50 pounds later I’m a full time student.

I also had some sad times this year but also some closure things that deeply needed it. In March of 2009, two of my dearest friends Travis and Rachel Joiner were murdered by Rachel’s ex-boyfriend. It was a great blow to me, along with everyone who had ever met them. Nothing more terrible could have happened to better people. Travis and I were best friends when I lived in the small town of Eldorado, Texas. I was awkward and portly, but Travis and I were both in Boy Scouts together and we both had a great love for Legos which is how our friendship grew. Even after I moved, we would spend time at each others houses over the summer and I went to visit him a lot when he went to college. This year, the trial finally happened and Rachel’s ex-boyfriend was found guilty and got the death penalty. This summer before we moved, we went down and saw their parents and their little brother. It was awkward at first since I hadn’t been back since before the tragedy, but then we reminisced about all the fun and crazy times we had with one another and it really brought it all together. I miss Travis and Rachel greatly, but their memory still beats in my heart.

This year I also lost my dear Grandma Knote. She was a great lady who loved all of her grandkids and great-grandkids very much. I’ll never forget the summers we would go up to Montana and stay with Grandma and Grandpa. We would always go up around the Fourth of July and they would save the fireworks coupons for us so we could buy an arsenal of explosives. Every morning, I would wake up, watch Nickelodeon, watch Grandma and Grandpa read the Bible and pray together, and then we would eat breakfast. A few hours later, we would go to McDonald’s, then go swimming. It was like every summer you knew what to expect, you had a schedule of fun. I miss those days. Grandma was another one of those that would love you and treat you as if you were her own no matter what. I miss you Grandma Knote.

Okay, now on to happier things… THE RANGERS WENT TO THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!! How cool is that!?! A lot of us thought it would never happen but it finally did! I know I know, we lost. But we still beat the Yankees and the Rays which was just awesome. There’s always next year… and the year after that…. and the year after that. Either way, it was a special season to be a Ranger. My dad and I went to the Season Opener and I kept saying “this is the year” (not that I’m taking credit or anything.)

Overall, this year has had it’s ups and downs, but more importantly it has been a year for new beginnings and a new lease on life. I’m stoked to see what 2011 will bring. Should be an adventure. See ya next year.

Day 69

NOLES WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the first time since the George W. Bush administration, the Florida State Seminoles win destroyed the Florida Gators. This was also the first time ever that a FSU coach beat Florida during their first season as head coach. It was a pretty huge game… and I didn’t go. Probably a bad decision. Well let me clarify, the student section sold out and we were offered a ticket but we both wanted to go so we just watched it at home which was still a blast. Especially because we had our windows open and we could hear everyone in our neighborhood yell and cheer during the game and we played Wii during halftime. So after the game, we switched it over to the NC ST/Maryland game because if Maryland won then FSU would be going to the ACC Championship and play Virginia Tech. Although Maryland really tried to blow a 17-38 lead (or something ridiculous like that) they pulled out the win and FSU clinched the ACC Atlantic division! So awesome. It was a great way to end this Thanksgiving weekend. Now, it’s back to life, back to reality…

Breakfast: I was naughty (sort of) and had a piece of WW sour cream pie for breakfast. It seemed like the right and delicious thing to do. It was only 4 points for a slice so that works for me.

Lunch: Before my family left, we when to and got some lunch. Megan and I are really bad at picking where we want to go when it comes to eating out, but I just made an executive decision and I picked Qdoba since it was away from campus so we would avoid the crowds. Megan did some research and we went naked shredded beef queso burritos and skipped on the rice (their rice has 5 grams of fat so it’s kind of high in points.) The burrito was 11 points but the side of chips were kind of a killer. The side of chips were 6 points so we would definitely share them next time, but Chipotle is opening in about a week so there won’t be a reason to go to Qdoba probably ever again.

Exercise: Before the game started, we went and walked down out backyard trail down to the park. After a gross hot day yesterday, it was cold today and it felt perfectly fall like. We stopped by the dog park to watch the puppies run around. We really want a dog or a cat so when we see any pets we get automatically jealous. Anyways we walked up and down a couple of trails and just enjoyed the day. I think the next time I train for a 5k I think I might do more trail running instead of being stuck on a treadmill. It passes the time better and you get more of an elevation change. We walked around for 2.69 miles so it was a good walk.

Dinner: We had leftovers again which was still AOK with me. I made one turkey and stuffing sandwich and then just ate some turkey with some ketchup. Then I had a leftover honey crescent roll so it was a 12 point dinner.

So I am still starving but I’m not sure what to eat because I’m already at 33 points. I have only used 7.5 flex points this points which is pretty cool because it was Thanksgiving Week. I’m not going to use the rest of them tonight, but it’s pretty tempting… Tomorrow is weigh in day. I’m hoping for a good number. Either way, it’s a good day to be alive. See ya tomorrow.

Day 68: Black Friday Edition

There’s no reason for this post to be named “Black Friday Edition” we just slept in and stayed indoors because it was hot and humid outside. Dare I say it was gross outside. Oh cold weather, where have you gone? Anyways, Today was the last full day with my family 🙁 they are going back tomorrow. Then it’s back to life and grad school work (after the Noles game of course) then we will be going to Texas for Christmas in 2 and a half weeks! I’m really stoked not just to see them, but to see the rest of my friends and church family in Texas. It’s going to be a blast, but not before passing the kidney stone known as the end of the semester. Good times. Alright, let’s talk turkey… again.

Breakfast: I just toasted 1 waffle and half a serving of pb which was 4 points. I should have done what Megan did and just had a piece of leftover pumpkin pie because it was the same points. Awe well.

Lunch: We were trying to figure out a good place to eat that wouldn’t be too high in points (my parents have been so supportive this whole time they have been here which has been really encouraging and has really held me accountable all week) so we went Monk’s. As always, it was super delicious, and my family loved it too! My Dad got this super huge two 9 oz patty behemoth of a cheeseburger that looked so good, but I stuck with my veggie burger on berry wheat with red onions, hot chipotle bbq sauce, pickles, roasted peppers and a slice cheddar. I usually don’t do cheese but I thought what the heck and it kind of overpowered the rest of the burger so I wouldn’t do it again. It was still awesome regardless. I wish I had a picture because my dad wanted me to show a side by side comparison of our burgers to I guess show how good I was being, but I took them with my mom’s iPhone and I forgot to email them. I’ll put them up tomorrow. Like last time, all I could eat were the sweet potato fries and half of the burger (it still shocks me when I can’t finish everything on my plate. I’m not use to that.) Since I only ate half of the burger and the fries, it was a 11.5 point lunch. Legit.

Snack: After doing some shopping (which I guess would be considered Black Friday shopping since it was on Black Friday but by then all of the crazies were back home passed out) we went to Starbucks so I got my Venti non-fat Iced Chai Latte which is 6 points. When were out shopping, Megan and I snagged a Christmas tree that was 50% off from Target (we had to taser at least 4 old women to get it but we got it… not really) and we decorated it tonight, more on that in a bit.

Dinner: We kept it simple for dinner: leftovers. My mom and I both agree that leftovers are the best part of Thanksgiving. I almost think it is better than Thanksgiving dinner itself because I love cold turkey so much and there is always a ton of it because everyone always over prepares for it. None of us were huge fans of the stuffing we made (it was okay but just not the same) so my Mom bought and made some Stovetop stuffing for leftovers. (I didn’t complain.) Like I said earlier, cold turkey is the best leftover in the world, yes even better than cold pizza (maybe because you only get it a few times a year) so I made my classic Cold-Turkey-Stuffing-and-Ketchup Sandwich. The stuffing my mom made was 4 points for half a cup so I just had a 1/4 cup since I was just putting it on sandwiches. Now, I’m sure some of you think that this picture or even this concept is pretty disgusting, but with your plethora of leftovers you should definitely give it a try and if you hate it awe well you have plenty more to eat. Just saying… So I made another sandwich out of the rest of the turkey and stuffing so my dinner was 10 points. I’m sure I’ll be eating this again soon, like tomorrow.

Christmas Tree Decorating: Like I said earlier, we got a new tree today. Last year we bought a fresh one which tilted to the side and was held up by a piece of yarn tied to a book case, and the year before that we bought a crappy fake one from an estate sale that was $1 so we eventually threw it out or something. Anyways, our tree has a pretty cool woods theme so there are a lot of owls on our tree which is awesome. Here are some pictures from it. Sorry I’m not a better photographer.

Oh yeah, that is a XL shirt I got this week. First time in… forever. Legit.

So after decorating, we put on a Christmas Pandora station, split a piece of pumpkin pie (2 points) and just enjoyed the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year. Today I went over, but not by a lot: only 33.5 points. Holla. See ya tomorrow.

Day 38: Weigh In Super Fantasticness!!!!!!

Sorry my faithful readers (especially David Schubert) for the last 3 posts coming out really late. It’s been one of those weeks. I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen anymore. Alright, down to business.

I lost 3.4 pounds this week! So I’m now at 330.2!!! I was super stoked. I’ve been on a hot streak of weight loss and I’m hoping to keep it going! So far, I’ve lost 26.8 pounds (legit) and I am 89.4 pounds away from my 100 pound goal!!!! Right now, going off my past averages, the goal of breaking 300 by my birthday in January is almost within reach.

Breakfast: I made some toast (2 points) 1/2 a serving of peanut butter (2.5) and 1/2 a tsp of honey. This whole time that I have been measuring out my honey I have been using 1/2 tsp but the serving is 1 tablespoon so really what I have been counting 1 point is more like .5 point if that. That was a rare, positive surprise.

Lunch: After church, we went to Panera Bread. I was really impressed when we walked in and they had the calories listed on the menu! Legit. Megan and I split the Artichoke Turkey (half was 8 points. Ouch.) and I has the Cream of Chicken with Wild Rice (8 points) and the side baguette was 3 points. I definitely should have gotten the Tortilla Soup (Megan had it and it was amazing and only 4 points) instead of something cream based. The baguette was so worth it because it was soft and delicious (not to mention it was 3 times the size of an Olive Garden breadstick which is also 3 points sadly.) It was the first time in a while that we had white bread so it was a nice treat, but very high in points.

Exercise: I went and played Matt in racquetball this afternoon. I didn’t really get going until around game 3 so I got schooled the first few games. Regardless, it was a blast.

Dinner: I made Uncle Jim’s Fantastic Chili and it was just 5 points. As always, it was great.

Dessert: I went out with some friends from my Sunday night small group and we went to Hiro’s (I think I should just work there since I’m there all the time…) I had the classic Taro with Strawberry and Sugar Cone which was 4 points. So good.

Today I totaled out at 33 points. That will work! See ya tomorrow.

Day 30

Hello Win Column!!!!

Today was a redeeming day in my sports world. After a really frustrating game 1, the Rangers whipped out the Boomsticks and went to work on the fourth axis of evil (The Yankees.) Also, the Noles got past Boston College in a game that was way too close for comfort. The important thing is that we won and we have a bye week to rest before a slew of potentially dangerous ACC opponents.

Breakfast/4:00 pm Lunch: So today in my food world was weird and not ideal. I left my house at 9:30 AM to help park cars at our church lot next to the stadium. I slept through about 3 alarms and woke up at 9:15 and I ran around my house like a chicken with his head cut off finding something to eat. I grabbed a 5 point bag of trail mix because our pantry is barren and then I left the house. I was going to eat something at the game but nobody took plastic so I was out of luck. (Seriously, is this 2002? Why wouldn’t you take a card? So lame. Actually I’m just as lame because I just said plastic.) So anywho, I got home around 4:15 emaciated so I made a sandwich since we were planning on eating a really early dinner. The sandwich was 5 points. Sargento has a 2 point a slice reduced sodium provolone that you should definitely try. (Thanks for suggesting that Sarah!)

Dinner: [45 minutes later] We headed over to Qdoba for a little burrito action. Like last time we split their queso shredded beef burrito. Now I’m sure you’re wondering why we don’t cut the queso and salvage some points, well it’s only a 3 point (so 1.5 points each) difference so it’s super worth it. (As I was typing this I found a peanut in my pocket… and I ate it. This ADD moment was sponsored by Ritalin. Where was I…. oh yeah. The burrito and chips were 13 points so a little high but after a day of eating like Ghandi it was worth it.

This is me trying to be artsy with my phone. You can only do so much without Hipstamatic… much less an iPhone.

Today right now I’m at 23 points and full. Megan and I are about to watch Psycho and we bought some popcorn so that will be a good little snack.

Weekly total: This week I only used 6.5 flex points. Tomorrow’s weigh in is big because I only have to have lost one pound this week to have lost 20 pounds total! I’m really excited but I haven’t worked out a lot this week because I over did it a little bit early in the week; however I have been surprised every weigh in so I hope that will happen once again. See ya tomorrow.

Day 23

Good Saturday to ya!

Breakfast: This morning we went to the little town of Havana to check out the antique stores and to explore a little more of Florida. Before we headed out, we decided to grab some coffee at Starbucks. We wanted to get a pastry, but I had read that they were pretty high in points, so I pulled out my iPod and checked out their nutritional info on the  Starbucks App (since they finally have free WiFi.) We looked at the Reduced Fat Cinnamon Swirl Coffee Cake and it was still 7 points, so we cut it in half so it was only 3.5 points and it really hit the spot. A while back someone suggested to get Iced Coffee at Starbucks go I gave it a try with low fat milk. It was only 2 points and it wasn’t too bad, but it was super strong which took me by surprise (that or I am just a wimp.) I still want to try their Iced Chai Tea but I forgot to order it (that happens a lot around here.)

Lunch: After our antiquing excursion, I fired up our range and made those legit turkey burgers. I think this burger recipe is the one of the best hybrid recipes in the WW book (hybrid meaning that you you could serve it to both dieters and non-dieters and everyone would be happy.) The oven baked fries are also something that you just feel like you are cheating when you are eating which is just fantastic. The fries were 3 points and the burger was 6 points. Oh, and the mustard is suppose to look like a smiley face, but the mustard wasn’t cooperating.

Dinner: This evening we were invited to dinner with some friends from church. They were really accommodating to the whole diet thing which was relieved because there are a lot of times where you go to someones house and they know you are on a diet and they still serve fried gravy. Luckily, she made baked chicken with grilled veggies and a fruit medley. It was so good! We weren’t really sure about the points, so when we got home, my awesome wife did some investigating and this is what we came to: Chicken-8 points Veggies- 3 points Fruit- 1 point and Corn Muffin- 3 points (we brought the muffins which we made from the WW cookbook. They are 2 a piece but I had half of one earlier.)

Temptation!!! So this was the first chocolate cake since I’ve started WW. I’m sure you remember me talking about my issues with the sweets so this was a doozie. This is the piece I cut and then I stood there for a sec and thought to myself “are you going to regret this tomorrow when you weigh?” I usually I think that then I’m like “Screw it, I’ll worry about it tomorrow” so this was a big deal because I’ve been all about instant gratification and that’s what got me in to this mess. So after I took this pic, I cut down the piece a bit and I was glad I did.

So today, I approximately totaled at 35.5 points so I only went 2.5 in to my flex points. Overall in the week I used 16 flex points which is the most flex points I have used so far. I try not to use them just because I feel like I have enough points as it is. I’m hoping it doesn’t affect my weigh in tomorrow but we will see. See ya tomorrow.

Day 22 (Emmitt Smith Day)

(It’s Emmitt Smith Day because it was his number…22)

TGIF!!!!!! (Remember when that was the thing to watch on ABC? When they had Family Matters, Step by Step, and other awesome shows? Now ABC has Modern Family…. and that’s about it)

So this morning I went and played racquetball again with my friend Adam and the traffic was a nightmare. I’ve never lived somewhere where I was speeding going the speed limit (for supplemental reading in regards to my opinions on driving, please read this) Anywho, I had a blast playing but I’ve been tired ever since.

Breakfast: I was in a rush this morning so I just popped two waffles in the toaster and ate them on the way. No peanut butter, just deliciousness. So 3 points right there.(No picture, if you want to know what a waffle looks like, google it.)

Lunch: I didn’t get to eat lunch until around 2:30 so I was soooo hungry!!!!! I started to dig around in the fridge and I wasn’t finding anything big, just a lot of little things so I put those little things in to an omelet baby! (There was a crazy lady at The Bean that would yell OMELETS BABY! I love weird people.)  I used three cage free eggs, which are so much better than regular eggs, which was 6 points, a serving of turkey breast (1 point) and half of a serving, 1/8 cup of Sargento Reduced fat shredded cheese (1 point.) I was going to use the whole serving which was 2 points but I realized it wasn’t worth the point and the cheese was enough. I also just put a splash of skim milk in there too. And like my friend Jade always says to do, I slathered that sucker with salsa. Not to brag, but it was the best omelet I have ever made. Then I had a 1 point orange because oranges rock.

Dinner: So we were suppose to have turkey burgers tonight, but I forgot to take out the turkey this afternoon to defrost (fail.) When Megan realized my screw up she said “Alright, where are we going for dinner?” Immediately, we hopped on to our respected laptops and started to search for places we could go eat. She then brought up Qdoba, one of my favorite burrito joints. I was really giddy about the idea, but I thought we were going to over do it points wise, but you can build a burrito and find the nutritional facts. So we split the shredded beef queso burrito and we each had a small order of chips. Chips and half of a burrito came out to 13 points. I was a ton of food for the points. I typed in what I use to get, just to see, and it was around 24 points! It was kind of depressing because we use to go to burrito places a lot so it explains where all these extra lb’s came from. Oh, and sorry about the ghetto picture, it’s off of Megan’s phone. My phone was dead.

So today I tried to make up for yesterday by drinking a lot more water and also by trying to keep the points down. I’m only at 25 points today so far so not too shabby. Hopefully the proof will be on the scale on Sunday. See ya tomorrow.
