I am loving your blog title… I just started blogging 5 days ago and just started my weight loss. How did you get that fab video on your blog… I cannot get them to show in my posts >>> only one on the sidebar! Help, please.
I uploaded the video to YouTube, then got the embed link and copy and pasted it in to my text then POOF! It was there! I hope that helps.
Down 100 pounds, you rock! You give me hope as I just get started with my 100 pound weight loss.
RE the unhealthy food cravings: I’ve totally been there. One thing I learned is that I’m a stress eater, and the things I want when I’m stressed are never good. At the same time, though, if it does make me feel better (and it’s amazing what a cheeseburger can do for my mental health), then I feel like it’s worth it to have a little of the bad stuff in moderation.
It’s hard to say what to do, because it depends on what you want. Some things like pizza or beer I usually try to have with friends, because I can share it and only have a little. If I bring a whole pizza into my apartment for just me then I know what will happen. Same story on processed stuff; if I bring it home I’ll wind up eating the whole bag/box. If there’s not any way to have what you want without making sure you only get a little, though, you’re probably better off either skipping it or finding a healthy alternative.
YAY, for your your NSV!!!!
I have totally been there with you on the craving totally awful crazy junk food, which is totally when i’m stressed. Being, a week away from finals. I can understand you would be totally stressed. I think it’s okay to give in a little. I totally did this past weekend. Completely and totally stressed out and I knew it was emotional eating, but I also jumped back on the wagon on Monday and gave myself some slack.
I love you video blogs! I hope you get your junk food cravings out of the way and have a great week!
Love your blog! I’m going to have to try the rowing machine, looks like fun, and a good workout. I love the vita top muffins too. My favorite is the banana nut. Yum.
I have not had this experience, but I have been told that your body does need some good, sweet stuff sometimes to stay healthy and so you can enjoy it. I do agree with the stress thing, but maybe use some extra points to have a fattening snack once every couple of weeks?
James,
That is true! (In fact the post after this one I talk about going to Wendy’s for a Frosty and fries.) It’s okay to do stuff like that (we are human!) but just keep it in moderation. Still order the small instead of the bigger ones. Once your body has adjusted (which it will) the smaller desserts are going to be just as satisfying and way less points.
